What is World Number 2?

W#2 is a unique display of the world around us. This is a world where reality meets imagination. The cities, names, and roads are fictional, but the people and companies are real. Here individuals can purchase a small piece of digital real estate while companies can buy a commercial lot and advertise their business. People can now start from scratch and live somewhere new, in relation to other people and companies, without the worries of the real world.

Applications

World Number 2 has several applications. Virtual maps provide a backdrop for indirect social networking. While you may live next to someone you do not know, unless they have opted to post their social media account, there would be no way to contact them. There is also a social aspect using the World Number 2 Discord Server. It is open to anyone, but to chat with other city residents, you have to be a city resident yourself. As opposed to only text, W#2 is graphical representation of individuals and companies. Each can choose where they want to live and how they want to be portrayed on a fictional map. As the cities grow and expand, there is a big emphasis on exploration and education. The purpose of World Number 2 is to build a friendly and easily accessible to all online community where people can "start over" and decide where they want to live in a new virtual world.

Real World Parallels

You will notice many similar buildings and places equivalent to our real world. There are parks, houses, transportation, and many others. There are, however, several important differences between W#2 and the real world. All energy sources are renewable. We do not typically include any dirty industries, or ones that cause high levels of pollution. There is a strong emphasis on the environment and the care for it. You will not find things like gas stations or coal plants. We are working to create a forward-thinking sustainable world, even if it is only virtual.

Human Aspect

As the world becomes more dependent on AI, automation, and robotics, it is nice to maintain the human element. We rely on technology, yet always consider a personal touch for everything that we design and create.

Geography and Maps

Cities

Each internet city is different and has a unique theme. There are plenty of landmarks to explore and many of them have specific uses and functions. The cities are located in the first region of Woodlands. The map started with Primisa and kept growing in all directions. More cities started to form, as more companies started becoming interested, and more people wanted their own piece of digital real estate.

Navigation

The best and easiest way to navigate around World Number 2 is to use the transportation systems. Highways, roads, trains, and others all connect cities. Look for the arrow icons on the edges of the 2D city maps for quick travel options. Check out more information about how to get places or how a piece of transportation works by clicking on them! We are constantly working to connect systems together to make sure you can easily navigate from one virtual environment to another in the most natural and logical way (Subway station to station, building to road, etc.).

Maps and Scale

There are two types of maps available. The 2D map is the default map and the easiest to navigate. There is also the VR Map which includes 2 zoom levels for a total of 3 levels-of-detail. The first map is the regional map and only displays the outlines of cities, towns, and geographical features. Zoom level 1 includes individual city renderings with a quick view of the 3d buildings or underground structures. The third zoom level takes you to the individual virtual environments with the greatest level of detail and content.

Residential Lots

If you purchase a residential lot, please use the Contact form to update information on the map. This information will be listed on the popup above your property.

Commercial Lots

Any company can buy a commercial lot. Companies without physical offices and internet companies are encouraged to do so. It is especially helpful if can ship products and/or provide services in other locations other than where the company is based.

Commercial Lot Usage

Once a company purchases a commercial lot, the Contact link can be used to update your information.

Billboard Advertising

Once you find the billboard you like and the perfect location, lease it! Visit the Contact page to update your information on the billboard. Billboards are considered commercial entities.

Custom Lots

There is plenty of land! If you wish to have a custom area all for yourself, or just do not see anything that you want to buy on the maps, talk to us. We will allocate or create a special space for you. Feel free to describe how much land you want and the exact location that you are looking for. We will do our best to accommodate an area that is vacant or is not near any critical infrastructure.

Virtual Reality

VR Overview

An important component of World Number 2 is virtual reality. You can use a computer, mobile device, or even a VR headset to explore various locations. A directory of featured spots can be found here. You will also notice that residential and commercial lots have this feature, as well as city infrastructure. Explore the maps or walk around the VR places that you stumble upon. We are constantly updating and adding functionality to maintain the best experience possible.

Hand Crafted and Unique

When you buy a residential or commercial lot, a VR spot will eventually be included, although it will be an empty building. We design custom interiors with many features for your home or business. Contact us to find out more information or visit the 3D spaces page.

Contributing to the Metaverse

World Number 2 is creating a small piece of the so called "metaverse" in its own way. We design virtual spaces that are closer to the real world. We also love creating custom commercial and residential properties for those who are wishing to stay ahead of the curve and join the next phase of the internet.

Communication

World Number 2 Discord Server

You are free to join our open Discord Server. Each city has a unique text channel, and as soon as you purchase any real estate, you will be added to that respective city's channel. This applies to as many cities as you want. You can meet your neighbors, chat with businesses, discuss ideas based on the city theme, or anything else you wish. Discord is a fun and secure way to connect with others! It is recommended you create a Discord account if you do not already have one for the best experience.

Content Contributions

Content Contributors

Content such as images, videos, and links can be submitted directly to us to be added to locations on the maps. The best way to see what you can submit is to explore the places on the map in each of the cities. Good and vibrant content is what makes the World Number 2 a unique and colorful place for everyone. Any public lots such as museums or movie theatres can accept images or video contributions. There is always new content being added, and there are always new landmarks being put in place. Keep checking back for updates!

Virtual Creators

If you are familiar with virtual reality development, 3D modeling, and especially A-frame or ThreeJS, talk to us! We are interested in adding your creation as a custom lot.

Virtual Real Estate

As you explore the cities and maps, you will find a wide selection of digital real estate. We aim to keep the prices low so that everyone is able to obtain a spot fairly easily. Custom lots, buildings, and interiors, will of course be priced higher. The full catalog can be found here. You will notice that there are multiple generations of residential and commercial lots. We strive to improve quality with each iteration as well as keep the growth and expansion of World Number 2 at a constant pace.

Automated Avatars

Automated avatars are robots that traverse the virtual environments. They can be customized with an image or logo, and a link. We deploy them in strategic locations are the virtual world. You can choose from a land crawler, a drone, or even a robotic dog! Read more here.

Free

Free Land

There is enough of space for everyone! Ask us how you can get free land in our metaverse. If there is space that is not occupied or for sale, we will place you accordingly or in a particular city of your choice. We can even provide your business with a free basic lot.

Open Graphic Grid

The idea behind this initiative is to place people from all around the physical world into the World Number 2 virtual world. We would love to see people building more respect for their virtual neighbor if they were to be positioned next to one another digitally.

Updates, Payments, and Spam

Payments

Square Inc. payments system is safe and secure and integrated into World Number 2 for all purchases. Each time you click purchase from the maps; the link will lead you directly to the Square Inc. payment portal. After the transaction is complete, you should be redirected back to the World Maps. Your safety and security are always our top concern.

Updates

Please allow up to 24 hours for changes to appear on the World Number 2 maps after you make a purchase, send content or update user information. Although this will usually happen faster, we handle each transaction individually. We check to make sure that there is no spam, and all residents are real people. Everything is custom built, which takes a bit more time. Please be patient. At this time, we only accept 1 user update submission per user.

Real Users with NO Spam

We strive to have no spam in the virtual world. After land purchases, we check every transaction individually to verify that the person or company is indeed real. While this is not 100%, we try our best. The goal is for you to explore without having to figure out if someone is real or not. In the case of free land, we will reach out to you to verify some information.

Cookie Usage

As of this moment, we do not use any tracking cookies on the website. Hence, there is no notice for it to accept or deny this action. Right now, this is just a fun and open world to explore and enjoy. The only local storage that will appear is from the use of virtual reality assets.

Verification

Residential and Commercial Verifications

The World Number 2 gold verification icon will be displayed in the popup of residential or commercial properties. These have personally been verified by us.

Exit

Leaving World Number 2

We are sorry to see you leave our digital world. To be removed from the maps, simply use the Contact form and let us know you want to be removed. We will erase any trace of you from the cities. Because properties are one-time purchases, they will be reused for new residents. If you are a company, we will remove all your information from the maps.
